We are having another baby, and IT'S A GIRL!!

This year has been an amazing year for us! We bought our first home, Joey graduated Law school, he took and passed the bar and has a great job, we found out we are pregnant, and just recently found out IT'S A GIRL!! We are so excited to finally get a little sweetheart, on my side of the family between me and my two sisters we have five grand boys!! So this will be the first girl we are super excited!! Cant wait till she gets here!! I'm due June 30th!! and her name will be Iris Maxine Mott--Iris is after my grandmother who I absolutely adore and look up too and I am most look like in my family, and Maxine is after Joeys grandmother who was an amazing kind, patient woman! We are blessed to have such wonderful women in our lives that we can name our little girl after!!! Jackson is so excited too to have a baby sister, when we told him we were pregnant he said from the get go it was a girl, and he was right!! Ever since we found out for sure that it is a girl it has made it more real for him too. He comes up to me and hugs me and then puts his head on my belly, he talks to her, and he bought her a little knitted doll and he brings it over and places it on my belly all the time, it is so cute! At night he says goodnight to her and at school draws family pictures with Iris being the smallest stick figure, haha!! For show and tell he took the ultrasound picture to show his teachers and friends, he is so proud of her, he is going to be such a good big brother!

For Jackson actual birthday-day we went to art in the park, and when we got back aunt emmie, uncle t, ma, papa, mom and dad went bowling for the first time--Jackson loved it, and then to chuckee cheese. We had a ball! Then back home for cake, ice cream and presents! Jackson said at bedtime it was his best birthday ever!! A week later we did his halloween birthday party, and oh was it fun!!

Cline Alvin Neilson

Today I lost a very important man in my life, my Papa! He lived a great life and brought such joy to a room when he was in it. He never spoke badly of anyone, and he always treated Nana with such respect and loved her unconditionally. He will be greatly missed, by the whole family, but especially me, he will always hold a special place in my heart, and there will not be a day that goes by that I won't think of him. I love you Papa and miss you so much already, but I know you are happy, out of pain and with loved ones. I will see you soon, you betcha ya!! You will always be my sunshine!!

This year a couple of days before halloween my sisters and I took the boys to the Haunted Harvest at the springs preserve, it was a lot of fun. While waiting in line to get a picture with the Backyardigans I was trying to keep Jackson busy by letting him play with camera, while he was randomly taking pictures of stuff a photographher started taking pictures of him. After he took a ton of pictures he asked for Jacksons name and age and said he was from the Review Journal, I thought, cool he might be in the paper. The next morning my sister Heather called and said check the paper Jackson is on the front page!! Ha ha, crazy huh! he looks so cute in his little costume and we even have the "inside photos" of the photographer that Jackson took with his camera, ha ha! too funny. Friday night we went to my parents stake track or treat at the park, jackson has got it down pat, "Trick or treat, thank you!"

This last weekend Joey, Jackson, and I went up to Hurricane Utah to spend the weekend with our SNAZZY friends (that one is for you Lenzi) Lenzi, Jeff and JJ. We celebrated Jeff's birthday, had a BBQ, made halloween treats, went to a baptism, went to the pumpkin patch, dinner at Benjas, haunted house, found out some amazing news and took several naps. Girls Night Out

So, my good friend from high school Lenzi came down this weekend and all of us girls went out. We had dinner at Cadillac Ranch at Town Square and rode the bull, ha ha, that was so much fun--check out that graceful fall. We did some shopping and went to see Time Travelers Wife--so good, but makes you cry like a baby or should I say makes Andrea cry like a baby while Kim, Lenzi and Nikki laugh their heads off while mister weirdo down the way burped, farted and yelled so loudly you couldn't pay attention--classic times. We had a good ol time and definetly need to do it more often, thanks girls for a way fun night!!!

Cannon Clark Bishop

My sista Kim had her second little boy yesterday, Cannon Clark Bishop. He weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 19 inches. Mom and baby are doing very good and can't wait to get out of the hospital. Dax loves his new baby brother, he was so cute with him. Right after Cannon was born he started sucking his fingers and the only way to do it is like a ROCKSTAR--ha ha! Here is a few pictures of the new addition to our family, which now makes up 5 grand--BOYS!! whoot, whoot! oh, and can not forget the cute blanket and burp Cannon has been sporting at the hospital. CONGRATS Kimmie, Dax and Bryan --he is a keeper!

okay so the duct tape thing only worked for a couple of days before Jackson figured out how to take off the tape. So, we went to plan B, we bought a froggy potty, and I guess we are potty training! Whenever he has to go he yells, "PEE PEE" and we run into the bathroom and he uses the potty. crazy I know, sounds too good to be true, but as for now I guess we are potty training. A lot better than peeing on my carpet that is for shiz-all. (don't mind my glamorous look in this picture, I just woke up)

okay this picture is classic. On Tuesdays I babysit Chloe and when I picked her up she was so sad she cried all the way to my house. While getting off the freeway I turned around and this is what I saw, Jackson had had enough of the crying and was plugging his ears. hee hee I was so lucky that I had my camera with me and snapped a quick shot. I love this picture-cracks me up.

Jackson loves footballs, baseballs and soccer ball oh and lets not forget his new love for spongebob. This is how he fell asleep the other night. hee hee.

This last weekend we took the kids to the little zoo that we have here. It was so fun, Jackson loved all the animals especially the petting zoo where he could touch the goats, kick the goats and kiss their horns--how is my kid such a bully and such a sweet heart at the same time? I was fascinated with the ostrich's and their eggs, but also very scared that they were going to attack me, which one of the apes really did try to attack me, very scary. any who after the zoo we all went swimming at our pad, very fun and eventful day. Kim took a lot more pics than I did so check out her blog for more.

MOTHERS DAY- For mother's day my boys got my the most beautifulliest bouquet of irises and lillies, and a gift card to Euphoria for a massage, facial, manacure, and pedicure, and also the most sassy-est pair of naughty monkey zebra print high hills that I have ever seen in my whole entire life. They are so sh-nazzy I can't stand it, they make me happy just looking at them. Notice me wearing them in several of the pictures in this post, they are HOT!! (even Jackson had to take them for a whirl down the cat walk) I know Jackson and Joey spoil me, I have the best boys in town, I am one lucky gal, I love you guys.

We also went up to St. George for Tims graduation and Senior night for one of his last baseball games. We were so excited that we could be there for Tim and Em on such a grand day. We had a blast. It was fun to see and hang out with Em's family too. We are way excited for Tim and Em to move down here to Vegas for Law School at the end of the summer, whoo-hoo par-tay.

The Doctor that I work for Dr. Wu took the whole office and spouses out to and karoke bar. This place was so cool you can rent out private rooms with your own bathroom and it has couches, a big screen TV for the words and it is all computerized with many songs to choose from. We had a blast singing our little hearts out.

So, Jackson's new thing is taking off his diaper and peeing on the carpet. It is driving me crazy! Even if I put his clothes over the diaper he some how manages to still get his diaper off. So, I came up with an AWESOME idea! DUCT TAPE!!! hee, hee! Now little Houdini child try to get out of this! or should I say smarty pants mom, "how are you going to get the dang thing off if he poops," hee hee!

sPrInG mEaNs: Baseball and flowers

I love spring time cause it is time to pull weeds and plants flowers. By our front door on our side of the house we made a little area for me to plant my flowers about 4 years ago. So, every year it is so fun to see what we comes back from the year before, strawberries, iris's , calla lillies, and garlic--I love it! Enjoy some of my pictures of all my hard work. oh, and Jackson loves to help me, it is so cute he puts my gloves on and digs in the dirt. I am trying to teach him to not pick the flowers, don't walk on them, and don't drink the water in the bird bath and especially do not drink the water as it drips out of the hanging plants while I water. fun fun.

A couple of weekends ago we all went up to St. George to see T play ball. The weather was beautiful and we had a blast. While we were up there we also got to see T and Em play in a dodge ball tournament--which they won!--whoo-hoo! and Jackson got to play basketball (pronounced by Jack: baball)

Twilight dorks

Yes!! we did it!! all of us girls spent the night at mom and dads and at midnight on Friday night me and my sistas Heather, & Kim went to Wal-mart to stand in the ridiculous long line to get our copies of our favorite movie Twilight- and the board game-wha-hooey! And we had a blast doing it! Thanks girls for a fun filled night of excitement, tiredness, yelling out the sun roof and giggling till we almost peed our pants.

Nikki told me about this place to take Jackson and get his picture taken. They take a ton of pictures and you can pick one pose and for $9.95 you get 1 11x14, 2 8x10, 4 5x7, 4 3x5, and 30 wallets. Pretty good deal, so I wanted to share with everyone. The top picture is the one I picked for the $9.95 deal and then the b&w one of course was more, they take a ton of pics and then try to sell you all of them, so I caved and got this one too. My little man I can't believe he is already 16 months old. He has such a personality too, he cracks me up.

Here are some of his favorites:
-Yo Gabba Gabba--My name is Jackson, I like to dance.
-repeating everything we say
-He says,"bonka" for bonkers and he says it every time he hits something.
-still loves to dance all the time, yes! my kid has rhythm

-he loves all his dogs-Mehhie (Meggie), Luc (Lucy), Ahhie (Annie)
-He knows where his eyes, nose, and mouth are.

4 year anniversary, projects, & I'm kinda famous, hee hee!!

I have been working on some projects lately, keeping busy! Karen and I decided to clean out our sewing closet, paint it and organize, look out Martha we are crazy with our label machine. we are so happy with the way it turned out, everything has its place and we can find what we need. we are going to paint the actual sewing room soon and do some other cute things with it, so I will post more pics when that is done.

I am way late on posting these pics, but we celebrated our 4 year anniversary on Jan. 8th, and Joey took me to the Melting Pot for dinner and then to the movies, we have never been to that restaurant and we really enjoyed it, so fun. This year for new years we spent the day at Heather and Dave's house riding Treyson and Ty's cool new ride. Thanks boys for taking the babies for rides. Then that evening we went to dinner and came back to my parents house for games and a little bubb-lay, hee hee sparkling cider. yummy, we got a little crazy.

after new years we went up to Utah for the weekend and we got to go see our new baby cousin Torsten, and Farah and Kurt. he is adorable so cute and tiny. It was fun to see everyone, I hate living so far away from our Utah family. miss ya guys already.

This last weekend Karen, Nikki, Chloe, Jackson and I went up to Sacramento to visit Karens family. None of them have ever met the babies so it was fun for everyone to see each other. This was Jacksons first time on a airplane and he loved it, especially when it took off, he was glued to the window.

Hey everyone this weekend is behind the picket fence craft boutique and we are part of it. Look for Nik-Nak-Paddy Wak baby accessories when you are there. We have custom made burp cloths, bibs, and blankets that can be personalized with your babies name. Here are just a couple of the burps that we make, for the boutique this weekend we mainly did cute little sayings and pictures on them, there are also blank ones there if you would like you babies name put on them you can give us a call. Last Saturday I got my hair done and I decided to go dark. I naturally have dark hair but it is not this dark. I figured it would be nice for the winter and nice to let my hair relax, it was way to much up keep to do it that blonde. I really like it though and so does Joey. When Jackson first saw me he looked at me funny and then gave me a big hug like yeah that is my momma. Kara also cut me some bangs, oh la la. I love it Kara thanks so much.

On halloween night we always go to my sister Kim and brother-in-law Bryans annual fabulous halloween party. This year they totally out did themselves, with the decorations, food, bobbing for apples and the haunted backyard. We had a blast, thanks guys, can't wait for next year.

This year I am working at a new dental office, and we had to dress up for halloween. We don't work on Fridays so we dressed up on Thursday. I work with my really good friend Kelly, she is the other hygienist so we dressed up as Mario and Luigi. one patient said, "See ya later train conductor."--hee hee too funny!

Well, I can't believe it but my baby is one!!! I don't know where the time has gone, it just feels like yesterday that I was in labor, crazy!! We had a little party for him last weekend and it was a pirate theme. We had so much fun planning and decorating for it, I think it turned out cute. So, many of our friends came and we had a blast. Lenzi came all the way down from Utah she is a sweetie, love ya. It was good to see old friends and catch up. Thanks to all who came and for the way cool presents Jackson is in love with all his new toys, Thanks. Kim and I spent all day Friday making Jacksons pirate cake, it turned out so cute and the little turd wouldn't smash into it, I was waiting for him to ask for fork and knife. hee hee. He didn't like it on his hands at all, not to crazy about it. it was still fun to watch his reaction though. any who, thanks to everyone who came and everyone that helped me with the party, it was fun. enjoy some of our pictures from the shin-dig!!

Labor Day in Parowan

The infamous Iron County Parade. We had fun, and Uncle T got a lot of free stuff and candy from the floats with Jackson in his arms. classic! We also saw Aunt Jo and Sharon there and they sat with us, our yearly tradition.

Aaron and Nikki ran in the Iron County Fair 5K. Aaron finished 3rd place in his division whoo-hoo for You. We are so proud of you guys. SHIZ-AM!!!! look at that skanky booty running down the street. hee, hee love ya. Next year that is going to be me, but first I gots to get my training on!!
We went for a walk and found some horses, Jackson loved them.

We had a good time in Parowan this year for Labor Day. Everyone came up Nikki, Aaron, Chloe, Tim, Emily, Karen, Lee, Joey, Me, Jackson and all the dogs. We had a house full, but that is the way we like it. We went shopping in Cedar, relaxed in the backyard, played a little bit of badminton, and we all went to the parade. We normally go to the horse races, and the rodeo but Saturday it rained like cats and dogs outside so we said indoors and played silly games that made us laugh so hard that we almost peed our pants. The video that I posted is hilarious, it is all of us being stupid, notice in the video Nikki cheating so bad, she should have fallen like 10 times but she just keeps going--you big goof. hee, hee this is what the Motts do for fun in Parowan. First day of school

Well, this last week was Joey's first week of Law school, he had several days of orientation and classes and hours and hours of studying-- already. I am beginning to really understand what everyone has been saying to me, "get ready to be a single mom for the next three years!" It is okay though because it will be worth it in the end. Joey supported me through Dental Hygiene school and all of the ups and downs that come with that so, I will be here to support him. I am so proud of my little hubby, he has worked so hard to get to this point. I am so excited for law school to be over already, no just kidding. Good luck sweetie your going to do GREAT!

I had already left for work on Monday morning so thank goodness Karen was thinking what I was thinking and she took a picture of Joey on his first day of school, doesn't he look so cute and stud-ly! hee hee. My two cute boys.

My 25th Birthday & FHE

Wow, I can't believe I am 25 years old, I am officially in my mid twenties, yikes. This year for my birthday we went to dinner with my family to Macayo's and then back to our crib for ice cream cake, presents, and little bit of rock band. My mom and dad got me this way cute hype purse, it is so sassy I love it, and I got new clothes and jammies, thanks to all. Then on my actual birthday, I had to work-yuck, I know. After work my in laws, Joey, Jackson and I went to Macaroni grill for dinner and then my cute boys took me to the mall to shop for some clothes. I didn't find much so we are going again this weekend-whoo-hoo! I also enjoyed my favorite kind of cake on my birthday and that is nothing bundt cake. yummo!!!

For FHE this month with my family we went to Mt. Charleston for dinner. It was way fun we hung out ate tin foil dinners, roasted some weinnies and made smores. The boys went on a hike, and we all enjoyed the cooler weather, we had a blast.

Joeys 25th B-day & 4th of July

Joeys birthday is July 2nd, so we had a good ol' time celebrating that along with the 4th of July. This year we went up to the house in Parowan Utah with Joeys parents, we had so much fun, here are some of our pictures.

The next morning we took Jackson fishing for the first time. He had a good time but mostly he just wanted to put his cheetos in the dirt and eat them. He is so silly.

That night went to the fair grounds in Parowan and watched the fireworks show that they put on. It was a really good show that lasted 45 minutes, I was impressed and Jackson loved the fireworks. He was so tired and barely could keep his eyes open but he didn't want to miss a thing. so cute!

On the 4th of July we went to Cedar in the morning while the boys went golfing, got to see the end of the parade and found a new quilt shop that is way cute. Then we came back to Parowan and just relaxed in the backyard. Jackson had a blast crawling around in the grass, playing with a wooden spoon, helping grammy hang out the clothes, and practicing his walking by pushing the laundry basket around. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to just relax in the backyard in the hammock reading my book.

A week before the 4th Jackson was in a parade with his cousins, all the kids looked so cute in their 4th of July attire.
For Joey's birthday with my family we had a BBQ and went swimming at my mom and dads the weekend before. On his actually birthday I surprised him with my parents and Kimmie and Dax showing up to our house after we got home from work to stay and watch Jackson while we went to dinner just the two of us. We went to Brio in Town Square and went to a couple of shops afterwards, it was fun just the two of us.

Here are some fun pictures of Jackson, this is my funny little boy, he just cracks me up! everyday is a new adventure with him. He has such a fun personality. I love him so much, I thank Heavenly Father everyday for sending me such a wonderful, fun little baby boy.

We have been swimming lots and lots to stay cool cause it has been so hot! Jackson loves the pool he just splashes and giggles, he is so funny. We have been swimming at Grammies and papas and at home with cousins, friends and mommy and me group, so fun.

Happy Fathers Day---it was Joeys first Fathers day-yeah! Jackson got him a new tie, and a golf package to Badlands, Jackson is a good shopper and dadda lovedit all, he also got him a card and we recorded Jackson saying Dadda on it, it was so cute. Joey is an amazing father, I love to watch him play with Jackson, it just warms my heart, I love him so much and I am so grateful to have him in my life and Jackson too.
Jackson loves his Papas too, each one is so special to him. They have already taught him so much and hold a special place in his heart. We are so lucky to have papa great, he is an amazing man with such a sweet spirit. (Jackson just woke up for this picture and this is his sad face-doesn't it break your heart).

Jackson turned 7 months the other day, I can't believe it, time has flown by. We call him Chuck Liddell cause his hair is growing in really thick only on the center part of his head like Chuck Liddells mohawk, it is too funny. About a month ago he said momma and just the other day he said Dadda--Yep he said momma first--Joey was jealous. hee, hee! He has been doing the army crawl and a funny worm crawl for a while but now just on Monday he finally figured out how to move his legs and arms at the same time and do a legitimate crawl, and he is sitting up on his own too. It is so much fun watching him do all these things. We are in trouble though cause he is in to everything--baby proofing has begun. Jackson also has two teeth on the bottom, so we brush and floss everyday, he surprised me and let me do it, he is definitely my son. Everyday is an adventure with Jackson, I love being a mom to him and taking care of him. I will have to post some videos of him crawling and saying, "momma" I love it!!

Chloes Blessing

Jackson just loves his little cousin, when we sat them next to each other he grabbed her hand and held it, it was so cute. They are going to be the best of friends. Joeys Paintball Tournament

Jackson and I went to Joeys paintball tournament on Saturday. He plays for a team called Bohica with a bunch of guys, they have played in tournaments before and done really well together. Most of the tournaments have been out of town in the past and this one was in Vegas, so we got to go watch. I made a shirt for Jackson to wear that said, "My dada rocks at paintball #333." He looked so cute, and Joey loved it. Joey can't wait till Jackson is old enough to teach him how to play! We had a good time, even Kim, Bryan and Dax came to watch. Build a Bear

1. Jobs I've had: hee, hee I have only had two jobs and I don't think the first one counts. I was a runner at a collections agency, I worked with Mitch Gutherie, his uncle owned it. I started it right after high school, but I only lasted a week, thats why I don't think it counts. My second job is a dental hygienist, which I went to two long years of school for and I absolutely love it, and the office I work at. Oh, yes and I am a mama, and that is hard work but so rewarding and I love my little man, Jack Jack!!

2. All the places I have lived: Las Vegas, I know how boring am I. I was hoping maybe Florida or Ohio or Utah for law school, but no we are staying here, and that is okay, I kind of like it here. Eventually Joey and I would like to live in Utah though!

3. 4 favorite movies: Dumb and Dumber--all time favorite movie love it!, Napolean Dynamite, Notebook, & How to lose a guy in 10 days.

4. 4 favorite foods: anyone who knows me really well, knows I love me some chicken fingers, Karens macaroni salad, chips and salsa, & I have to agree with Lenzi on the pork salad from Durangos or Cafe Rio.

5. 4 weird things about me: 1. I rub my feet together at night in the sheets, it is so calming to me, it drives Joey crazy--he said I rubbed a hole in our sheets but I swear the hole came from his side of the bed, 2. I love the smell of old elevators (old metal)--Heather and Kim know what I am talking about, Dr. Davies office, 3. I also love the smell of wet brick, like cement brick walls after rain had fallen on it--yummo!, & last 4. when I eat I have to have to same amount of fries left as hamburger left, I like to have a bite of cheeseburger, then some fries, then a sip of my drink and then I repeat. So I get really upset if Joey steals a french fry, and things get all messed up and don't even out.

6. 4 favorite shows: Right now I am on a re-run kick of watching What I Like About You--I love that show!, Greek, Greys Anatomy, & the Hills--woot, woot I hear ya Lenzi!

7. Places I'd love to go: Tuscany, Germany, Hawaii--Maui again we had the best honeymoon there!, and I would love to stay in a bed and breakfast in Maine.

A Fun Weekend

This last weekend Joey, Jackson and I went to Parowan Utah with Joeys parents. We had fun just relaxing and enjoying the wonderful weather. We got to visit with Aunt JoEllen and Uncle George and see their beautiful house that they are building up there. Jackson got to meet some more cousins too. Jill, MaKenzie, Ty and Zoe were visiting from Provo and stopped by to meet Jackson for the first time. It was fun to see everyone and catch up. Jackson even got to see Uncle T and learn how to play the guitar, look at our cute cowboys!

Law School

Well, the best news came in the mail yesterday. Joey finally got his letter from UNLV Law School telling us that he has been accepted and will start classes in August. They also gave him a scholarship that will pay for 2/3 of his tuition each year. We are so excited, he got into a couple of other schools out of state, but we were really excited that he got in here so we could stay close to home and family. I am so proud of my hubby, he has worked so hard to get to this point. One of the things that I love most about Joey is that he has so much ambition, he has always known what he has wanted to do with his life and never let anything stop him from getting there. I am excited for what life has in store for us. Congratulations Joey I love you to the moon and back.

Chloe is finally here, she was born on March 13, 2008 close to midnight. She is 7 lbs. 8 oz. and 20 1/2 inches in length. They had to take her C-section after 15 hours of labor, thank goodness they did because there was a true knot in the cord and the cord was wrapped around Chloes neck. She is a healthy baby girl and Nikki is doing great. Nik did such a good job, we are so proud of her. They come home today from the hospital and we are so excited to spend more time with her. She is a beautiful baby, she looks just like her mama, such pretty little features. Jackson loves his new little cousin so much, he is fascinated with her, it is so cute. They are going to be the best of buddies. Congratulations Nikki and Aaron, We love you guys!!

I just love this little boy!! He is so much fun. Everyday he does something that just cracks me up. He is growing up so fast, I can't believe he is already 5 months old. Now that he knows how to roll over he gets on his belly and puts his little booty in the air and and pushes off with his feet. His arms are not strong enough yet to hold him up but he is trying to crawl. It is amazing to watch him grow, I love it. I love that every time someone talks to him he smiles and his whole face lights up, it is so cute. He really does have the cutest little baby face. My little handsome man!

I am so excited today cause after a year and a half I finally got my braces off. This is my second time around with braces and let me tell ya I am going to wear my retainer this time. My teeth are beautiful now, thanks to Dr. Hamilton, who is seriously the best Orthodontist in town. I can finally smile normal in pictures again, whoo-hoo. My ankle is lots better, the swelling has gone down and i can put most of my weight on it and it doesn't hurt. Oh, and happy four year anniversary Kim & Bryan, love you guys! What a wonderful day.

Okay, so I am the biggest dork in the world. This morning I was coming down the stairs to get ready for work with Jackson in my arms, and on the last step I came down on my foot wrong and I went down!! I wrapped my arms around Jackson and cushioned his fall, but I heard my ankle pop and crack. I started screaming and crying and Joey flew out of bed and came flying down the stairs. I was more worried about Jackson though, he was crying cause he was scared because I was screaming. He calmed down quickly with papa holding him. I really couldn't move my ankle too much and it wasn't swelling so we were worried that it might be broken. Karen took me to the doctor and I didn't break it--thank goodness, but I did tear two ligaments and it was starting to swell. The doctor said it will just have to heal on its own within two weeks with a ankle brace and crutches, and a lot of pain. So, I am at home just laying around, I can't believe I did this, I feel so stupid, and mad at myself. I don't even have a good story to tell with my bummed foot, like I was playing a really cool sport and I made the winning point right before slipping and spraining my ankle, or running through the mall trying to get to a store for a killer good sale, and while mowing down some woman to get the last pair of shoes on clearance I sprain my ankle. Now that would be a cool story to tell, but no not me just my gimpy self stumbling off the last step of my stairs, like a big fat dork!! I have to look at it this way though I am just so grateful it is was me and not Jackson!

Happy Valentines Day

This year for Valentines day we decided not to go out to dinner and fight the crowds. So, instead Karen and I made steak, king crab legs, salad, asparagus in a balsamic vinegarette, and hand dipped chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. The boys loved it, they said it was a lot better than going out to eat.
Earlier that day flowers were delivered to the door from Joey. He is so good to me, he knows how much I love flowers, he is such a sweetie. My favorite flowers Iris's and tulips. They were beautiful, I love those two colors together, purple and red, they just pop!
After dinner we watched a movie (No Reservations) and Jackson fell asleep on Joey two minutes into it. When we went up to bed he woke up, so we got to put him in his cute valentine jammies that Grammy Neilson got him.
Our valentines day was low key this year, but I loved it. We really had a good time spending it with family!

Today was a very exciting day in our family. Jackson rolled all the way over today for the first time. He has been trying for about a week now, and this morning I laid him on the floor and I was picking up the house and turned around and he was on his belly. So, I missed the first actually roll over, but I got the second one on video and the rest in pictures. We can't get him to stop rolling over now. Here we go, everyone says he won't stop here, next will be crawling and then we are really in for it. I can't wait. I love watching Jackson grow and experience all these things for the first time. It is amazing, I love being a momma!

Nikkis Baby Shower

This last Saturday was my sister-in-law Nikkis baby shower. It turned out really nice, she got lots of fun stuff too. Karen and I sewed a lot of cute stuff for her and we put it all in a laundry basket and when she pulled it out it was on a clothes line. Everyone had a fit over it, we can't take credit though cause we got the idea from another baby shower that we went to. It was a fun shower and we can't wait till Chloe gets here in March. Jackson is so excited for his cousin to get here.

Jackson is so funny! Everything now goes straight for his mouth, and he has found his thumb. He doesn't really suck it he just kind of chews on it and smiles at us, like ha, ha mom and dad look what I am doing. It is so cute, and I can't believe I am saying that cause I always said I would never let my baby suck his thumb. Joey is constantly pulling his hands out of his mouth and putting his binkie in instead, but I had to get some cute pictures of it before we break him of his habit. I love my boy!

3 Months and 2 weeks old

I can't believe Jackson is already 3 months old, time has just flown by. He is such a happy baby, he smiles and laughs all the time, it is so fun. He is starting to grab everything and trying to sit up and roll over. It is so fun to watch him grow, I love being a mom, it is the greatest. Being pregnant for nine months is definitely worth it. Right after the new year I went back to work, the first day was really hard, my mother-in-law Karen is watching him and she brought him at lunch time to visit. We are having a hard time with it though because the stubborn little poop won't take a bottle. I have been strictly breastfeeding ever since he was born and he has taken a bottle before when I had to leave him for a couple of hours, but not now. It is like he doesn't want me to go or something because Karen tries to put the bottle in his mouth and he just rolls it around and laughs at her, like ha, ha Grammy I am not going to take it. So, everyday that I work I feed him before I leave at 7:30am and he is fine until 1:00pm when she brings him at lunch to feed and then he is good until 5:00pm when I get home. I was going to work Monday through Wednesday but I cut it down to just working Monday and Wednesday for a while until I can get used to being away from him and he can get used to a bottle. It is so crazy though because Jackson will take a pacifier but he won't take the bottle that looks just like his pacifier. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them, I feel bad that Karen has to bring him to work everyday.
I like my new schedule though because it breaks up the week and it doesn't feel like I am away from for very long, it is great. It makes my time with him even more special. We are also very lucky that we don't have to put him in day care, Karen loves watching him for us. So is so cute with him, they play all day long, and she packs him up and takes him with her to the store and to do her errands. We have the best babysitter in the world! Going back to work wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, when I was pregnant the thought of being away from him was unbearable, and that even got worse after I had him. Now that I am back I realized how much I love what I do, and I am so grateful that I have a career where I can be home with him more than I am at work.

New Years Eve

We spent New Years Eve up in Parowan, playing in the snow on the four wheelers. We had a blast, Grammy watched Jackson while we were out in the snow and this is how we found them when we came back, it was so cute, them napping together. For New Years Eve we went to Milts restaurant up Cedar Mountain with Uncle George and Aunt JoEllen. Then came back and played board games-- Happy New Year!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was so much fun and very tiring. Jackson and daddy took several naps throughout the day. Especially after opening all of his gifts. We spent Christmas morning in our house opening Jacksons presents from santa, and then opened presents with Joeys family in the main house, and ate breakfast. Then off to Grammy, Papa, Nana, & Papa Greats house to spend the rest of the day.

Christmas Eve

This year for Christmas Eve it was little different. Normally we feed the homeless in the afternoon and then have pizza afterwards that evening, but we had to do that a couple of days earlier cause Emily had to work in the daytime on Christmas Eve up in St. George and would miss it. As it turns out though Joey and I were sick in bed on the day they did all of this so we missed out. Thats okay though cause we were feeling much before by the real Christmas Eve. So, on Christmas Eve we had a $5 gift exchange party with the Motts, ate pizza, and boxed on the wii. Then that evening we went to my families house so my dad could read the Christmas story to the boys.

Our very first Christmas card!

I am so excited about my new stocking holder this year. I got the idea from Pottery Barn Kids magazine, and did my own for a lot cheaper. I got my vintage ski's from an antique store in Utah, painted them and did my own letters from JoAnns. We did order Jacksons stocking from PB kids though cause it matched the stockings we already had for Joey and I. I am so happy with the way it turned out.

Tony Hawk

As a lot of you know I am a dental hygienist and the dentist that I work for always does something really nice for us girls around Christmas time. Last year he sent us to the Green Valley Ranch spa for the day and a nice dinner at Hanks steak house. This year he included me in the festivities even though I am still on maternity leave, I was so excited. He took us to dinner and this restaurant called Fukuda where they make Japanese food on the grill at your table. Then after dinner he took us to see the show at the Mirage called LOVE. LOVE, Cirque du Soleil celebrates the musical legacy of The Beatles through their timeless, original recordings. It was an amazing show, we all had a very good time. Here is the pretty cool part about my night though. We were standing in line before the show and I looked behind me and I saw Tony Hawk, well I thought it was him but I wasn't sure. So Chaz, my coworker and I talked Ruth the other Hygienist I work with to go ask him if he was indeed Tony Hawk and sure enough he was. So we took a picture with him, and of course my eyes are closed in the picture. He was really nice and laid back, he had quite a bit of gray hair too, crazy! Joey said he is like 40+ years. So, that was my eventful evening, pretty cool huh?

Thanksgiving in Utah

This year was our year to spend Thanksgiving with Joeys family up in Parowan Utah at their second home. We had a blast, it was so cold up there and it even snowed the day after Thanksgiving. Jackson got to wear some of his cute beanies, but we never took him out in the snow. We stayed in the house the whole time, we didn't want to chance him getting sick again. It was a small Thanksgiving with just seven of us, (Karen, Lee, Joey, me, Nikki, Aaron and Jackson--oh and don't forget Nikki and Aarons little one in the oven Chlolalola--hee,hee) and all the dogs, we normally have a huge crowd, but it still was a memorable year, and we had a good time. Friday night we drove back down to Vegas and spent the rest of the weekend with my mom and dad. Jackson got to take a bath by the fire at Grammys and we had a good time helping grammy and papa put up their Christmas tree and decorations. We are so thankful for our wonderful families and all the precious memories that we make year after year. Hope everyone else had a wonderful Thanksgiving also.

Hospital Visit

Well, the last couple of days have not been fun. On Monday Karen (my mother-in-law), Jackson and I went up to Utah for the week. My in-laws have a second house up in Parowan Utah. We went shopping and had a good ol time, until Wednesday night when Jackson wasn't sleeping and eating. His cry wasn't his normal cry either, so I took his temperature and it was 101 degrees. I woke Karen and we went straight home. We made an appt. with our pediatrician and we no sooner got there and they sent us right over to the emergency room. They said he is too young to be running such a high fever with no symptoms of a runny nose, cough, or vomiting. They rushed us straight back and told us they needed to do a bunch of tests to rule out any infections they he may have. They did a spinal tap to test for meningitis, they took his blood and put a catheter in to test his urine for a urinary tract infection. Joey and I were a mess, we were so worried about our little guy. Before they started doing all the tests Joey gave Jackson a fathers blessing and we also put his name in the temple. We couldn't be in the room during all the tests, we had to wait in the waiting room, and we could hear him screaming all the way down the hall, and it just ripped my heart out. After waiting two and a half hours all the tests came back negative. They gave him antibiotics through an IV and said he probably got a virus or a cold. Which is common with babies that are born in the winter time. He could have got it anywhere or from anyone.We are so grateful that it wasn't anything really serious. We were still very scared though, but I know that through the power of prayer and the blessing that Joey gave him that Heavenly Father was looking out for Jackson, and that is what got us through this scary time. We are home now and Jackson is doing much better, he is acting himself, eating and his temperature is normal. Thank goodness!!! I guess I better get used to this horrible feeling of worrying about your kids cause from what I hear it never goes away. Now I know what my mom has felt for so many years with worrying about me, my sisters and my brother. Now I am officially a mother!

Jacksons Blessing Day Nov. 4, 2007

Well, Jacksons Blessing Day was wonderful. Everything went really well. Lots of family and friends came to Jacksons special day. We are so grateful for all the support from our family and friends, Thanks everyone!! Joey gave Jackson a beautiful blessing, I don't think there was a dry eye in the room, and the testimonies that were shared brought the spirit in so strong. It really was a perfect day, a day I will always remember. After the blessing we had a luncheon at the house, we really had a good time visiting with everyone. For Jacksons big day I crocheted a burp cloth with his name and date on it, it went really well with the hand crochet all white blessing afghan that a close friend of the family made for him. Of course we can not forget his blessing outfit that he wore. It was all perfect and are keepsakes that we will cherish always.

Nap Time

During Jacksons nap today, he kept putting his hands around his face in really cute spots. In all the ultrasound pictures he had his hands up around his face too and he still loves his hands up around his face. It is the cutest thing. He made me giggle today as I watched him, the simple joys of being a new momma!

Aunt Helen gave Jackson a very special gift that she made back in 1943. A baby bath robe, that she sewed and her mother hemstitched the sides of it. We are so grateful for this special gift, and we will always cherish it.

This last week Jackson got to meet his two GREAT GREAT Aunts, Aunt Billie and Aunt Helen. They are Grandpa Motts sisters. It made their day to have Jackson come over. It is pretty neat to be able to have pictures like these. The next picture is of my nana and papa with Jackson and they are Jacksons GREAT grandparents, they adore their great grandchildren. All boys so far! And the next pic is of four generations, pretty cool!! Nana, Papa, My dad, me, and baby Jack Jack!

We are so blessed! Joey and I are enjoying every minute with Jackson. It is an amazing feeling being a parent, we have so much to be grateful for. We love our little peanut so much! today was a very emotional day for me. We took Jackson to get circumsized. I was so nervous, I cried through the whole procedure. Jackson actually was really good through it, I was the one that was a mess. He is doing really good so far, he is sound asleep in his swing. I am just glad that it is over with.

First week at home with mom and dad, family, & friends

Ever since we got home from the hospital we have had a ton of visitors. Family and friends who were very excited to finally meet action Jackson. It has been so fun with all the visitors coming to our house to meet the little man. We have lots of pictures to show of all the excitement that has been going on at the mott home. we even have a picture of Jackson on his way to his first doctors appt. which went very well, we have a healthy baby boy. We are so grateful to have him in our lives. I love him!!!

When we got home from the hospital our family put up cute its a boy signs and banners out front of our house, and balloons. They brought tons of flowers and Heather and Kim decorated a nothing bundt cake with Jacksons picture on it. Everything looked so cute. Thanks guys, we appreciate all that you do for us. We are all so excited that Jacksons is finally here with us, we love him to pieces and are very grateful to be blessed with such a healthy and perfect little boy!

Past the due date

Well, Jacksons due date has come and past and still no Jackson. We all thought he would be here by now. We went to the doctors office on Friday and I am still 1 1/2 cm dilated, she doesn't like to go more than a week over the due date so we scheduled to be induced on Wednesday Oct. 3rd at 7:30 am. Meanwhile we have been having fun with the family trying to pass the time and keep my mind off labor and wanting Jackson to come. Today while Joey was golfing with his dad I met my family at Gilcrease Orchard to pick out pumpkins, I found the cutest little pumpkin for Jackson and I also did a lot of walking in hopes of going into labor naturally before the induction date. It has been a long day and I am tired from all the walking and bumpy car rides with my dad driving. Hopefully some of these methods worked and Jackson will come soon, we will let you all know when he has finally arrived!

Here is whats on the wall above the changing table. The picture that is in the frame is a picture of Joeys dad Lee on a horse barrel racing when he was a little boy. This is who Jackson is named after Jackson Lee Mott. The name Jackson is also a family name my grandmas maiden name was Jackson.
We finally got the letters for the wall in the mail, and Jacksons nursery is finally done, well kind of, the changing table still has not come in. One side of the room is done and looking very cute. Now all we need is a baby!

This is our little Jackson in the oven, I think the bun is done and he wants to come out and meet everyone, he wants to bust out of there. When I lay on my left side he goes crazy and starts to kick and move around a ton. I was lucky enough to get it on tape one night while I was filming Joey putting the crib together. Labor Day Weekend

Normally we go up to Parowan Utah for Labor Day. Every year they have the Labor Day Fair, parade, horse races, rodeo, garage sales, and yummy peaches for sale on the corners in town. This year unfortunately we couldn't go cause it is too close to my due date, and the doctor said no traveling. We still had a good time though with our fun filled weekend of swimming and BBQ's right here in sunny hot hot Las Vegas!

37 Weeks--Full Term

This is me on Thursday which marked 37 weeks, officially full term, Jackson Lee Mott will be here soon, and we have been working hard to get ready for the little man!! We are so excited we can barely stand it.

Here is the quilt that goes with his crib bedding, all that is left to do on it is put the backing on it and tie it.

Here is Jackmans crib all set up with the bedding, and his mobile that I made. I am so glad Kelly talked me into getting the rocking horse from potterybarn kids, he looks so cute next to the crib. We named the horse Trigger! Above the crib will be Jacksons name in wooden letters with cute tin stars on each side, but they have yet to come in the mail. Hopefully they will come soon along with the changing table, he could be here any day. I will take pictures of the nursery when it is finally done so everyone can see the finished product, it is still a work in progress.

Thanks to all of our amazing friends and family we have almost everything we need for Jacksons arrival. This is all of our fun stuff that we received for the baby shower--thank you everyone, we really appreciate all you do for us, we are very lucky to have you in our lives!!

We went to the doctor on Friday 9-7-07 and I am officially full term. I could have the baby any day. I am dilated 1 cm, (not very far, but a good start) the doctor thinks he might come next week. Joey and I are very anxious to meet baby Jack Jack. We are almost ready for him, the crib is set up, along with his cradle, swing, and bouncer, we have done a deep cleaning to make room for Mr. Jack mans stuff--with the help of my sister Kim, Bryan and Dax--thanks guys. My mother-in-law, Karen and I have been making Jacksons crib bedding. The theme of his nursery is vintage cowboy-so cute. We are almost done with the quilt and all of the bedding will be done. I have been busy sewing and making way cute burp cloths, onsies, and receiving blankets. I finally feel ready for him to come, I can't wait. We are all so excited !!!
